NYC's Blood Moon Eclipse: Will You See It?

The eclipse begins at 11:57 p.m. ET on Thursday, reaching totality at 2:59 a.m. ET on Friday. However, the weather in NYC might play spoilsport. FOX 5 NY's Meteorologist Mike Woods notes that while there's a chance of viewing the eclipse, clouds could obstruct the view.
What is a Blood Worm Moon?
March's full moon is called the Worm Moon, a name possibly originating from the appearance of earthworms as the soil thaws in spring, according to the Farmer's Almanac. The "Blood" part comes from the reddish hue the moon takes during the total lunar eclipse.
