Christmas Eve Subway Attack: Double Slashing at Grand Central Station
On Christmas Eve, a terrifying incident unfolded at the Grand Central-42 Street subway station in New York City. A 26-year-old woman was slashed in the neck, and a 42-year-old man suffered a wrist slash in what police described as an unprovoked attack. Both victims were transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The Suspect:
Police quickly apprehended 28-year-old Jason Sargeant at the scene. He's been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, menacing, weapon possession, and harassment. He is currently in custody at a hospital, though the reason for his hospitalization hasn't been disclosed.
