Cuomo's Unexpected Catwalk Appearance
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo traded politics for the runway, making a surprise appearance at the second annual "Style Across the Aisle" fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
The event, hosted by the Gracie Mansion Conservancy, aimed to bridge the political divide by showcasing local designers. It featured a mix of Democratic and Republican politicians, including former Governor David Paterson and mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa.
Cuomo, currently running for mayor as an independent, sported a custom blue suit from Bond & Bari Bespoke. The event also highlighted the work of New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services Commissioner Louis Molina.
Proceeds from the show benefited Witness to Mass Incarceration, a non-profit supporting formerly incarcerated individuals.
Mayoral Race Update
Cuomo's Fashion Week debut comes as he trails Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani in recent polls. A recent Emerson College Polling/PIX11/The Hill poll showed Mamdani with a significant lead.
