Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene becomes an all-day block party on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., outside BAM Rose Cinemas. The free street party is part of Playback: The Brooklyn Watch Party, a new two-day festival BAM is presenting with filmmaker Spike Lee and New York Liberty owner Clara Wu Tsai on Nov. 6 and 7. Playback and The Soapbox Presents bring local Brooklyn DJs, a Bring Your Own Vinyl session, work by artist Katie Merz, Double Dutch, and food and drink. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis; an RSVP keeps you posted but does not hold a spot. The festival's film screenings inside BAM are ticketed separately.
