South Brooklyn has a new sushi bar. MŌRE Sushi, a modern sushi and Pan-Asian restaurant and bar, officially opened on Monday, Oct. 26, inside the Sky Three Residences Club complex in West Brighton, the stretch between Coney Island and Brighton Beach, Eater NY reported. The restaurant had been in a soft opening for a couple of weeks before that, according to DiningOut.
What's on the menu
The restaurant describes its menu as a la carte sushi, never-frozen seafood, organic salads, signature and classic hot dishes and bento lunches, with a special Sunday omakase. DiningOut listed hot dishes including takoyaki, Peking duck spring rolls, chicken katsu and pineapple fried rice. Eater NY said the Sunday omakase comes with a curated selection of premium sake, wines by the glass and cocktails.
The bar focuses on wine by the glass, premium sake and house cocktails, and the restaurant offers happy hour, takeout, delivery, catering and private events, according to its website.
Who's behind it
MŌRE comes from Brooklyn restaurateur Oleg Novikov, who Eater NY said has been involved in places such as Tete-a-Tete and Level, with brand chef Maksim Tvorogov and partner Yulia Rivkin, according to the restaurant. It has an open kitchen and is pitched as a neighborhood spot for dinner or drinks.
The restaurant is part of the ground-floor retail at Sky Three, a three-tower, 499-unit rental complex by Cammeby's International and Rybak Development on Neptune Avenue that opened for leasing in fall 2025, across the street from the F train and a short walk from the boardwalk and the New York Aquarium.
