About this event

Bring leftover Halloween pumpkins to Pier 84 in Hudson River Park on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and smash them into compost. Hudson River Park's Pumpkin Smash is free and family-friendly: you bring the pumpkin, and staff hand out bats, hammers or shovels for a 15-minute smash session before the pieces become fertilizer for next season's plantings. The pier at West 44th Street has restrooms, water and nearby food; the A/C/E trains at 42nd Street-Port Authority are a short walk. No registration is required.
