Woman Shot and Killed During NYC Apartment Robbery: Police Searching For Suspects
A 57-year-old woman was shot and killed during a robbery in her New York City apartment building on Monday night. The incident took place around 11 p.m. on Market Street in the Lower East Side, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
The victim, identified as Ying Zhu Liu, was shot twice in the face after two suspects attempted to rob her husband. When Liu stepped outside to see what was happening, the suspects shot her and stole her husband's cellphone before fleeing the scene.
The NYPD is still searching for the suspects. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday night.
