On Wednesday night, a horrific accident on the Taconic State Parkway claimed the lives of four people, including Robert Violante, affectionately known as "Coach V," a cherished high school football coach from Bergenfield, New Jersey.

The accident involved a Sprinter van that crossed the median and collided with Coach Violante's Honda sedan, resulting in a fiery crash. Three passengers in the van also died at the scene, while the van's driver remains hospitalized in critical condition.
