A Fight Turns Violent

Witnesses reported a fight involving around 15 teenagers inside a Raising Cane's restaurant before the shooting. The altercation spilled onto the street, culminating in gunshots. One witness described hearing three shots and initially mistaking them for fireworks.

Suspect Apprehended

A 17-year-old suspect was quickly apprehended a block away. He faces charges including attempted murder, assault, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment. His identity remains undisclosed due to his age.

Victims and Injuries

The victims included a 19-year-old man shot in the foot (allegedly the intended target), an 18-year-old woman with a graze wound to the neck, and a 65-year-old man shot in the leg. All were hospitalized in stable condition.

Gun-Free Zone Controversy

The shooting occurred in a designated gun-free zone in Times Square, raising questions about the effectiveness of gun control measures in high-traffic areas.
