Third Time in Two Weeks: Human Bones Found in Brooklyn Bridge Park

Another Discovery at Brooklyn Bridge Park: Human Bones Found

For the third time in two weeks, human bones have been discovered at Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO. The latest discovery was made on Saturday night, with remains found on the rocks by the water's edge.

The first discovery, a skull and other fragments, was made by patrol officers. Then, a femur and smaller bones were found near the carousel. The woman who found the most recent remains, a portion of a spine, says she had heard about the previous discoveries and was intentionally looking around.

Police have stated that both sets of bones found before Saturday's discovery belong to the same person. The Medical Examiner will conduct tests on the latest remains.

This series of unsettling discoveries is raising concerns and fueling investigation in the park.
