Terrifying Queens Home Invasion: Mom and Baby Escape Through Window as Police Use Drone to Capture Suspects

Terrifying Home Invasion in Queens Ends With Drone Capture

Early Saturday morning, a family of eight in Douglaston, Queens, experienced a terrifying home invasion. Three armed men, wielding hammers and a gun, stormed into the residence, terrorizing the family, including a 1-year-old girl and a 72-year-old man.

The intruders, believed to be targeting cash, held the family hostage, forcing them to the floor with their hands up. A brave woman managed to call 911, alerting the authorities.

As police arrived, they could see the family through a window, and immediately surrounded the house. One woman, fearing for her safety, took her baby and escaped through a window.

Despite attempts to communicate with the suspects, they fled through a kitchen window with stolen cash. However, the NYPD quickly deployed a drone, which successfully tracked the three suspects down, leading to their arrests.

Ryan Dash and Brendan Dash, both 30 years old, face charges of robbery, assault, and burglary. The third suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, is expected to face similar charges.

This incident highlights the vital role of technology in crime prevention and apprehension. The quick thinking of the family and the effective use of the drone allowed for the swift capture of the suspects, preventing further harm to the family.
