Ryan Reynolds Makes a Young Fan's Christmas Wish Come True
Ryan Reynolds, the Hollywood star and co-owner of Wrexham AFC, recently donated £10,000 to help 13-year-old Lexi Collins from Wales visit New York City this Christmas. Lexi, a fan of Home Alone, is battling a rare form of heart cancer and has undergone multiple surgeries and chemotherapy.
The GoFundMe campaign, initially aiming for £5000, has significantly exceeded its goal thanks to Reynolds' substantial contribution and the generosity of others. Lexi's mother, Rebecca Collins, expressed overwhelming gratitude for the support, highlighting Lexi's determination to fight her cancer and fulfill her dream trip.
The Wrexham Police football team, which organized the fundraiser, also praised Reynolds on X (formerly Twitter) for his heartwarming generosity, referencing his Deadpool character's signature red and black suit. The donation ensures Lexi's New York City Christmas wish, including a possible visit to the Rockefeller Christmas tree, might become a reality.
Reynolds' act of kindness underscores his ongoing commitment to charitable causes. This generous gesture is another example of his support for his community and beyond.
