She had managed to stow away on a Delta flight to Paris on November 26th without a boarding pass, bypassing TSA checkpoints.
The incident raises serious questions about security protocols at JFK. According to a TSA spokesperson, Dali successfully passed security screenings, including bag checks, and bypassed two verification stations before boarding Delta Flight 264. She was only discovered when a flight attendant noticed her unusually long time in the aircraft's bathroom.
Delta Airlines is conducting a full investigation, stating that safety and security are paramount. Federal authorities are also investigating the incident.
This incident follows another recent case where a stowaway was caught on a Texas-bound plane after allegedly photographing a passenger's boarding pass.
The FBI's apprehension of Dali highlights the ongoing concerns about security breaches at major airports.
