Russian Stowaway Caught on Delta Flight from JFK to Paris

This week, a Russian national without a ticket managed to bypass security at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and board a Delta flight to Paris. The stowaway was discovered upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The incident unfolded on Delta Flight 264, which departed Tuesday night. A passenger's video, shared on social media, shows the pilot announcing the police's arrival to apprehend the individual.

According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the individual was screened at JFK and did not have any prohibited items. The TSA is conducting a review of the incident.

Delta Airlines is also launching an investigation, emphasizing its commitment to safety and security. The French National Police confirmed the arrest and stated the passenger was refused entry to France due to a lack of valid travel documents. The individual, who held a valid US residence permit, was subsequently sent back to the United States.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates JFK Airport, has declined to comment.

This incident raises serious questions about security protocols at JFK. The investigation will likely focus on how the stowaway bypassed security checkpoints and boarded the aircraft without a ticket.
