
Queens Hit-and-Run: Two Pedestrians Injured
Early Sunday morning, a hit-and-run incident in Jackson Heights, Queens left two pedestrians injured. The NYPD is currently investigating the incident that occurred near 80th Street and Northern Boulevard around 2 a.m.
The Incident:
The driver, attempting to evade a nearby police stop, struck a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman. The man sustained a leg laceration, while the woman suffered back pain. Both were transported to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
The Aftermath:
The driver fled the scene, but a passenger in the vehicle was apprehended. Authorities confirmed there was no police pursuit; however, the suspect's erratic driving is believed to be the cause of the accident.
