Pro-Palestinian Protesters Arrested Outside New York Stock Exchange

Dozens Arrested in Pro-Palestinian Protest Outside New York Stock Exchange
On Monday, around 200 demonstrators protesting Israel's war in Gaza were arrested in a sit-in outside the New York Stock Exchange. The protesters, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, chanted slogans like "Let Gaza live!" and "Up up with liberation, down down with occupation!" demanding an end to U.S. military support for Israel. They argued that the U.S. is profiting off of the violence against Palestinians in Gaza.
The protest occurred a week after the anniversary of Hamas's attack on Israel and the start of Israel's retaliatory campaign. This conflict has since spread to Lebanon, where an Israeli airstrike killed at least 21 people in a residential building.
The protest was met with counterprotesters waving Israeli flags. The pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested after entering a security fence on Broad Street, where they sat down peacefully.
This demonstration highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding the conflict and the growing calls for accountability from the international community.
