Prince Harry Dismisses Rumors of Distance from Meghan Markle with NYC Speech

Prince Harry made a public display of family love during his recent trip to New York City, seemingly addressing rumors of a rift between him and Meghan Markle. At the Clinton Global Initiative, where he spoke about the dangers of social media, Harry highlighted his role as a father and his dedication to his family.

He even referenced his children, asking the audience, “My lock screen is a picture of my kids, what is yours?” The screen behind him then displayed heartbreaking images of children who had taken their own lives due to social media bullying, emphasizing the importance of the Parents Network charity he and Meghan founded.

The Duke's public displays of family love were widely seen as a calculated response to recent speculation about his relationship with Meghan. Just a day before the speech, Harry was seen making a video call to his wife and children in a semi-public setting, further dispelling the rumors. The call took place at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, where Harry was preparing to go on stage with Diana Award recipients.

While Harry was in New York, he attended several different events, some of which were separate from Meghan. This has led some to question whether the public displays of affection are merely a PR strategy to counter negative press surrounding the couple.
