Prince Harry Returns to NYC for Solo Trip Focused on Philanthropic Work

Prince Harry Back in NYC on a Solo Mission

Prince Harry has returned to New York City for a whirlwind visit, focused on supporting his patronages and philanthropic initiatives. He kicked off his trip by attending a high-profile dinner organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) that focused on "Violence against children and its impact on mental health."

The dinner, held on Sunday night, brought together a distinguished group, including Queen Mathilde of Belgium, actor Forest Whitaker, and officials from various countries participating in the UN General Assembly.

This visit marks Harry's second trip to NYC this year. In October 2023, he joined his wife, Meghan Markle, for events celebrating World Mental Health Day.

A Busy Agenda for the Duke of Sussex

Prince Harry's trip is scheduled to coincide with the UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week, both of which are taking place in New York City.

His itinerary includes engagements with several organizations he supports, including African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.

He is also expected to advance the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he co-founded with Meghan Markle.

Celebrating a Milestone

Harry's NYC visit comes shortly after celebrating his 40th birthday. In a statement, he told PEOPLE that his children are his greatest gift: "The best gift I've ever been given is, without doubt, my kids. I enjoy watching them grow every single day and love being their dad."

A Potential Royal Reunion?

With Prince William scheduled to attend the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit at the Plaza Hotel on September 24, speculation has arisen about whether the two brothers might cross paths during their respective New York City visits. However, while Prince William traveled to New York for the event in 2023, he is not expected to attend this year.
