Prince Harry Honors Princess Diana's Legacy with NYC Visit

Prince Harry Honors Princess Diana's Legacy in NYC

Prince Harry will be in New York City next month, attending events with strong connections to his late mother, Princess Diana. This visit echoes Diana's own fondness for the city and her humanitarian work.

Harry is scheduled to participate in events with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst, all organizations that align with his philanthropic interests.

The Diana Award, founded in 1999, celebrates youth leadership and innovation. Both Harry and Prince William are strong supporters of this charity, the only one named in honor of their mother. Harry will be further furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit he co-founded with his wife Meghan Markle.

The HALO Trust, an anti-landmine charity, holds special significance as Diana witnessed their work during a visit to Angola in 1997, just seven months before her death. This visit, where Diana walked through a live minefield wearing a HALO Trust logo, became iconic.

The prince's visit to NYC will also be a reminder of Diana's love for the city. She frequently visited, attending events like the Met Gala. Harry has visited NYC several times since moving to the U.S. in 2020.
