Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024: Rain and Chills on the Horizon
Get ready for a wet and windy Thanksgiving Day in NYC! This year's 98th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is expected to be a chilly and rainy affair.

The Forecast:
- Rain is predicted to start in the morning and continue throughout the day, possibly extending into Black Friday morning.
- Expect about an inch of rainfall, offering some relief from the ongoing drought.
- Temperatures will drop from the low 50s to the low-to-mid 40s by parade time. Bundle up!
- While snow is unlikely in the city, flurries are possible further north.
- Wind speeds are expected to remain below the threshold for grounding the giant balloons – unlike the infamous 1997 parade. Read more about the 1997 parade.

Parade Details:
- The parade will feature performances by the Rockettes, Cynthia Erivo, and many more!
- Expect to see iconic balloons and floats featuring Snoopy, Minnie Mouse, Spider-Man, and other beloved characters.
- Watch it live on NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the show must go on! Remember to dress warmly and bring an umbrella if you plan to attend.
