Get ready for a spectacular show! Macy's 4th of July Fireworks 2025 returns to the East River, illuminating the sky with over 80,000 shells in 30 vibrant colors. This year's 25-minute extravaganza features a musical score by Questlove and James Poyser, and will be hosted by Ariana DeBose.

Where to Watch

The best views are from the East Side of Manhattan and Long Island City. Check out Macy's website for a map of public viewing locations. Be aware that Brooklyn waterfront viewing areas will be closed at 2 p.m. on July 4th, and are restricted to ticket holders only.

Important Information:

  • Prohibited Items: Large backpacks, coolers, alcohol, umbrellas, lawn chairs, blankets, drones, and anything that could obstruct views or pose a safety risk.
  • Transportation: Use public transportation! Plan your trip ahead of time using MTA.info
  • Street Closures: The Brooklyn Bridge will close to traffic at 9 a.m. on July 4th and reopen at 4 a.m. on July 5th. The FDR Drive will have closures and viewing areas. See below for a list of affected streets.

NYC Street Closures (July 4th-5th):

Manhattan: A large area bounded by Grand Street, Catherine Street/Slip, South Street/FDR Drive, and East Broadway will be closed. Many other streets, including sections of the FDR Drive, will also experience closures.
