NYC's Former COVID Advisor Exposed: Sex Parties, Double Standards, and a Heated Investigation
Former NYC Health Advisor Caught in COVID Hypocrisy Scandal
Dr. Jay Varma, New York City's former senior health advisor, has been accused of hypocrisy after admitting to attending sex parties and a dance party during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite urging New Yorkers to strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Varma's admission came after a heavily edited video surfaced, revealing his actions during a time when he was advising the city on COVID-19 policies. The video, posted by conservative podcaster Steven Crowder, shows Varma boasting about helping implement mandatory vaccination rules that prevented Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving from playing basketball.
In a statement, Varma claimed he was "targeted" by Crowder and acknowledged attending two private gatherings in 2020 and a large dance party in 2021. He defended his record on COVID-19 policy, stating that all decisions were based on the best available science.
Investigation Called for by NYC Council Member
However, the news has sparked outrage. Councilman Robert Holden, among others, is calling for a full-scale City Council investigation and for state and federal prosecutors to get involved. Holden argued, "The guy has no shame. It is disgusting... what else did he do? What else did he say? What else should we have done?"
This scandal highlights the tension between public health officials and the public during a time of crisis, raising questions about accountability, transparency, and the potential for double standards.
