NYC's First Latin Food Fest: A Culinary and Cultural Fiesta
Get ready to experience a taste explosion at the inaugural NY Latin Food Fest! Taking place on September 13th and 14th at Hudson River Park's Pier 76, this event promises a vibrant celebration of Latin American and Caribbean cultures, encompassing everything from mouthwatering food to captivating music and art.
A Gastronomic Journey
Prepare to embark on a culinary adventure with over 300 dishes representing the diverse flavors of Latin America and the Caribbean. From the zesty Dominican sancocho to the savory Puerto Rican arroz con gandules and the spicy Jamaican jerk chicken, the festival offers a delicious array of options. Over 70 vendors, including popular spots like Tacos El Guero and Paella Party CT, will be present to tantalize your taste buds.
Music, Art, and Entertainment
Beyond the food, the festival will feature a vibrant line-up of live performances that will set the stage ablaze. Friday night will transform into a bustling night market atmosphere with acts like JChris, Xianix Barrera, La Manga, Bryan Durieux, and Afro Dominicano. Saturday will bring even more energy with performances by Allison Soul, Don Sonero, Cristian Allexis, La Excelencia, Lee Burgos, and Batala New York. To enhance the sensory experience, the festival will also showcase live mural painting by Daniel Bonilla, artistic creations by de-jΓ©, and custom shoe painting by EvanTheArtist.
Community and Culture
The NY Latin Food Fest is more than just an event; it's a celebration of community and culture. The festival is partnering with I Love New York and the Dominican Taste Festival to highlight the significance of Hispanic Heritage Month. With City Winery as the exclusive wine partner and Boston Beer Company providing refreshing beverages, the festival is a complete experience. And here's the best part: 100% of the profits will be donated to the Street Eats Foundation, supporting community growth and small businesses.
