NYC Winter Storm Warning: Snow, Ice, and Rain Expected This Week!
NYC Braces for Another Winter Storm
New York City and the Tri-State area are preparing for another round of wintry weather this week, following a recent storm that brought several inches of snow to some areas. This latest system is expected to bring accumulating snow starting Tuesday night, with a significant variation in snowfall totals across the region.
Snowfall Predictions
While some areas may see little to no snow, others, particularly parts of South Jersey, could see up to six inches. A winter storm warning is in effect for those areas. The NYC metro area is likely to see between 1-3 inches of snow. A winter weather advisory is in place for parts of New Jersey.
The forecast shows a sharp dividing line for snowfall, with significant differences expected even over relatively short distances. This makes accurate prediction challenging. Check the latest winter weather alerts from the National Weather Service for the most up-to-date information.
Beyond the Snow
After the Tuesday night snow, another storm is predicted to arrive Wednesday night, beginning as a wintry mix before changing to rain. This rain is expected to persist into Thursday morning.
Another storm is anticipated for the weekend, potentially bringing more snow, ice, or rain, possibly lingering into Sunday. Stay tuned for updates from Chief Meteorologist Lee Goldberg and the Eyewitness News AccuWeather team.
