NYC Subway Joyride: Teens Take R Train for a Wild Ride

Over the weekend, a group of masked teens took an unoccupied R train on an unauthorized joyride through Queens. The incident was captured on CCTV and later surfaced on Instagram.

The incident:

• At least six masked individuals stole an R train from a storage yard at the Forest Hills-71 Av station around 10:30 PM Saturday.
• They initially attempted to obscure security cameras with black marker.
• The joyride reached speeds of approximately 30 mph.
• The teens casually strolled through the train during the ride.
• The group fled the scene on foot after abandoning the train.
