Thousands Join the Annual Pride Run

The 44th Annual New York Road Runners Pride Run kicked off the weekend festivities, drawing an estimated 8,000 participants to Central Park. Proceeds from the run support Lambda Legal, a non-profit dedicated to LGBTQ+ rights and HIV awareness. Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center Celebrates Anniversary

The Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday. A special guest, lifelong LGBTQ+ activist Mark Segal, who was present during the Stonewall Inn riots in 1969, shared his experiences and the importance of visibility in the fight for equality. Segal famously interrupted a CBS Evening News broadcast in 1973 to protest against perceived media bias.
