NYC Joyride Ends in Fiery Wreck
A 40-year-old man, Basilio Hidalgo, was arrested after taking his SUV on a reckless joyride along the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) tracks. The incident, which occurred Sunday afternoon, ended with the vehicle catching fire, causing significant damage to the tracks and infrastructure.

Charges: Hidalgo faces charges of DWI, first-degree reckless endangerment, and third-degree criminal trespassing. Police apprehended him without incident. The incident caused substantial damage to the third rail and other LIRR infrastructure.
