NYC Horror: Teen Stabbed to Death in Lower Manhattan

A 17-year-old boy was tragically killed and an 18-year-old was injured in a brutal stabbing in Lower Manhattan's Financial District on Thursday night. The attack, described by witnesses as "straight out of a horror movie," unfolded around 7:39 p.m. outside 17 John Street.

The Attack

Three male suspects approached the teens and asked if they spoke English. When the victims responded negatively, the suspects viciously attacked them with a knife. Yeremi Colino, 17, suffered a fatal chest wound, while the 18-year-old sustained a stab wound to the left arm.

Both victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where Colino succumbed to his injuries. The other teen is in stable condition. Police are currently investigating the scene and searching for the suspects; no arrests have been made yet.

Witness Accounts

Witnesses recounted a horrific scene, describing the immense amount of blood and the victim's desperate attempts to get back up. One witness stated, “It was just a bunch of blood coming out of his mouth and maybe his neck as well. I’ve never seen so much blood in my life. It was like straight out of a horror movie.” Another witness, enjoying dinner at a nearby ramen restaurant, saw the attack and the suspects fleeing. He described feeling sick and losing his appetite after witnessing the violence.

Ongoing Investigation

The NYPD has cordoned off the area as they investigate this horrific crime. Colino's address was listed as the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown, known to house migrants. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to apprehend the suspects responsible for this tragedy.
