The suspect is seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a face mask. Another image shows the suspect outside the vehicle, also wearing a face mask.
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Mayor Eric Adams stated that the "net is tightening" around the suspect, despite an extensive search and the use of facial recognition technology. A backpack recovered near the scene contained a Tommy Hilfiger jacket and Monopoly money, according to reports.
The motive remains under investigation, but authorities have revealed the words "deny", "defend", and "depose" were written on the bullet casings. These words may be associated with criticism of the US private health insurance industry. There are reports that the suspect may have left New York City.
This is a developing story. We will provide updates as they become available.
