NYC Gets a Taste of Fall: Enjoy Cool Temps This Week Before Heat Returns

NYC Enjoys a Brief Fall Preview This Week Before Summer Heat Returns
New Yorkers are finally getting a break from the relentless heat and humidity of summer. A cold front moved through Monday night, bringing cooler temperatures, less humid air, and a northwest wind from Canada.
This week's forecast is a welcome change, with highs only reaching the low to mid 70s, more typical of late September. Overnight lows will even dip into the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday, making for a refreshing start to the day. This is especially noticeable in North Jersey and the Hudson Valley where morning lows will fall into the mid to upper 40s.

Temperatures and humidity will begin creeping back up by the weekend, and next week will see a return to the typical summer heat. By then, the early autumn temperatures will be a distant memory, with overnight lows in the 70s β warmer than this week's mid-week highs!
So, enjoy the cool air while it lasts. Break out those sweaters and light jackets, and savor this taste of fall before summer reasserts its dominance.
