NYC Ferry Ticket Prices Rise: What You Need to Know
Starting Monday, NYC Ferry riders will see a fare increase. The cost of a single-trip ticket is now $4.50, up from $4.
While the price of a single ticket went up, frequent riders can still benefit from a discounted 10-trip pack for $29. This price aligns ferry fares with the cost of subway and bus tickets.
Key Changes to NYC Ferry Fares:
- Single-Trip Ticket: $4.50 (up from $4)
- 10-Trip Bundle: $29 (up from $27.50)
- Discount Program: The NYC Ferry Discount Program continues to offer $1.45 rides for seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals.
- Student Discounts: High school students citywide can benefit from reduced fares for weekday school travel. Applications for this program opened August 1 on the New York City Student Account portal.
- Children Under 44 Inches: Ride for free when accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can be purchased through the NYC Ferry app or at ticket vending machines at ferry landings. All tickets remain valid for 90 days and include a free transfer to another route within 120 minutes of activation.
