NYC Employees Arrested for Assault in the Bronx

This past weekend saw the arrests of two off-duty New York City employees in separate assault incidents in the Bronx. The arrests highlight concerning incidents involving city workers.

The Arrests

  • James White, a 48-year-old employee of the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS), was arrested on Friday, August 22nd, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct. He was charged with assault.
  • Sheila Nunez Lopez, a 28-year-old NYPD officer, was arrested on Sunday, August 24th, within the confines of the 40th Precinct. She was also charged with assault.

Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
