NYC Comptroller Brad Lander and Dozens Arrested in Fiery ICE Protest
New York City Comptroller Brad Lander and 70 other protestors, including state senators and assembly members, were arrested on Thursday during a demonstration at a Manhattan ICE office. The protest targeted the 10th floor of 26 Federal Plaza, a de facto detention facility for migrants.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), however, claims Lander and the protestors obstructed law enforcement and caused a disruption. According to reports, those arrested received summonses and were released.
Following the arrests, the building was placed on lockdown due to a bomb threat. This incident follows a recent federal judge's order mandating improvements to the conditions for detained migrants at the facility. The 26 Federal Plaza has become a focal point for numerous protests in recent months.
