A Planned Attack?

Experts analyzing surveillance footage suggest the shooting was planned. The gunman's weapon appeared to jam, requiring him to clear the malfunction before continuing to fire. The use of a silencer further points to premeditation.

Thompson's Background and Recent Scrutiny

Thompson, who had been CEO since 2021, had been with UnitedHealth Group since 2004. His wife revealed he had received threats, though their nature remains unknown. UnitedHealth Group has faced recent scrutiny, including an antitrust lawsuit from the Department of Justice and a major data breach.
