NYC CEO Murder: Nationwide Manhunt Underway After Midtown Shooting
Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot on Wednesday morning outside the New York Hilton Midtown. The shooting, described as "brazen, targeted, and premeditated," has sparked a nationwide manhunt.
The Investigation
Investigators have revealed that the suspect, still unidentified, arrived in NYC by bus on November 24th from Atlanta, with a possible stop in Washington D.C. After the shooting, he boarded another bus out of the city.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation. Police have recovered a backpack believed to belong to the suspect from Central Park and are analyzing DNA and fingerprint evidence. The suspect's 10-day stay in New York City before the attack is a key focus.

This is based on the similarity to the title of a book, "Delay, Deny, Defend."
Impact
The killing has prompted Centene, a major health insurer, to switch its investor day from an in-person event in NYC to a virtual one.
