Midtown Manhattan Shooting: Active Shooter Neutralized, Officer Among Injured
A lone shooter was neutralized after a shooting incident in Midtown Manhattan that left at least two people injured, including a police officer. The incident occurred near 345 Park Avenue, a skyscraper housing major corporations like Blackstone and the NFL. The building also houses a Bank of America branch and KPMG offices.

Their conditions remain unknown. Authorities reported that the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The NYPD urged citizens to avoid the area of East 52nd Street between Park and Lexington Avenues. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed on X that the scene was contained and the shooter neutralized.
Mayor Eric Adams issued a warning to New Yorkers via X, advising them to take safety precautions and avoid the area. The investigation is ongoing.
