After rumors of its closure in 2023, JAY-Z's legendary 40/40 Club is set to make a grand return to New York City in 2025. This time, the club is moving to a new location and adding a live sports betting component to the mix.
The club, which first opened its doors 20 years ago, has been a staple of Manhattan's nightlife scene, becoming a cultural landmark. The new 40/40 Club promises to offer the same luxurious experience with a modern twist, incorporating Fanatics Sportsbook to allow guests to place bets while watching their favorite games.
At a recent pop-up event at Fanatics Fest, celebrities and sports icons like Tom Brady, Quavo, Travis Scott, and Carmelo Anthony got a sneak peek at what the new 40/40 Club will look like. The event showcased the classic 40/40 Club vibe with a modern update, including a Hall of Fame wall with cool jerseys, a champagne tower, gigantic screens, and a luxurious atmosphere.
Sheldon Robinson, the vice president of operations for 40/40 Club, confirmed that JAY-Z is heavily involved in the reopening process, emphasizing the club's importance to his legacy. Robinson stated that the team is in the final stages of negotiating a lease for the new location and hopes to break ground by the end of 2023. The club is expected to open its doors in 2025.
The new 40/40 Club promises to be a unique blend of sports, music, and luxury, offering guests a world-class experience while watching their favorite teams play and enjoying top-tier entertainment.
