Another shocking attack has rattled New York City. Paolo Rech, a 42-year-old computer science professor visiting from Italy, was randomly slashed in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday morning.

Without warning, she swung a knife, cutting his right hand.
"I just passed next to her and she just turned around quickly and stabbed me," Rech recounted.
This incident bears a resemblance to a recent attack where a Danish tourist was slashed on the Upper West Side. While deeply shaken, Rech emphasized that the attack hasn't diminished his love for New York City: "I love New York City - there's nothing that can change that."
The incident raises concerns about public safety, particularly as the holiday season approaches and tourism increases.
