Elderly Woman Decapitated in Horrifying Fall From NYC High-Rise
An 80-year-old woman tragically lost her life after plunging from the 28th floor of the Park Regis Apartments on the Upper East Side Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when the woman leaped from the building, witnesses told authorities.
Graphic details emerged as witnesses described the horrifying scene, stating the woman's body became entangled with a balcony on the way down, resulting in her decapitation. Her head and arm were found separated from her body on a nearby terrace.

</figure>The NYPD has not released the woman's identity or a motive for the tragic incident. Her clothes were found stuck on a fence at the base of the building, bent from the impact, according to witnesses.
This is the second reported death by suicide in NYC on Saturday. Earlier in the day, a 52-year-old man jumped from a 17th floor balcony in Chelsea.
