NYC Woman Decapitated After Horrifying Fall from High-Rise Building
On Saturday, a horrifying incident unfolded in the Upper East Side of New York City. An unidentified woman in her 80s jumped to her death from her apartment on the 28th floor of the Park Regis Apartments.
As her body fell, it struck the side of the building, becoming entangled in railings and balconies. This resulted in a gruesome outcome, leaving the woman decapitated.
Witnesses Describe Gruesome Scene
One witness described the scene to the New York Post, saying, “I pulled up just as she was laying there, she had no head. The head and the arm were clean cut off on the other side, they ended up on the terrace.” Another witness reported seeing a bent fence and the woman’s clothes stuck to it.

The tragedy unfolded across the street from a church where a wedding was taking place. Guests attending the nuptials witnessed the horrific incident.
Investigation Ongoing
The NYPD is investigating the incident, which is currently being treated as an apparent suicide. The woman’s identity is being withheld pending the investigation.
