Harlem Week Barbecue and Food Distribution: A Community Celebration

The Food Bank for New York City is hosting its third annual Harlem Week Barbecue and Distribution event on Sunday, August 11th, bringing the community together for a day of fun, food, and celebration.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., join the festivities along 116th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. The event will feature free food distribution, including fresh produce, burgers, hot dogs, and sides, prepared and served by the Food Bank for NYC.

Besides the delicious food, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, a kids zone for families, and other activities designed for all ages.

This event is more than just a barbecue; it's a testament to the power of community and a celebration of the incredible people of Harlem. The Food Bank for NYC, the largest hunger-relief organization in the city, works tirelessly with over 800 soup kitchens, food pantries, and campus partners to ensure food security for all New Yorkers.

ABC 7 New York is a proud community partner of the Food Bank for NYC.
