Hamptons Socialite Faces $195K Rent Lawsuit After Husband's Suicide

Candice Miller, the former "Mama + Tata" lifestyle blogger, is facing a lawsuit for nearly $200,000 in unpaid rent on her luxurious New York City condo. The lawsuit comes just two months after her husband, Brandon Miller, died by suicide.

Court documents filed in September alleged that Miller owes $194,881.89 for a lavish 4,382-square foot, five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bathroom apartment on Park Avenue. The lawsuit claims that Miller failed to pay her $47,000 rent in both April and May, and subsequently missed two additional payments of $49,000 in June and July. She is also being billed for an August balance and a plumbing invoice.

Despite agreeing to surrender the property by August 31, Miller allegedly did not address her outstanding debt before moving to Miami to start anew.

Miller's move to Miami was reportedly made possible with the assistance of wealthy friends. This is unsurprising considering that Brandon, a real estate businessman, was allegedly deep in debt before his passing, leaving behind only $8,000 for his wife and children.

While Miller is currently living in a $10 million condo owned by friends in Miami, she is also attempting to sell her $15 million Hamptons home. It remains unclear if Miller is paying rent to her friends in Miami.
