
GU, Uniqlo's Sister Brand, Opens Flagship Store in NYC
GU, Uniqlo's trendier sister brand known for affordable and stylish fashion, is finally opening its first brick-and-mortar store outside of Japan in NYC's SoHo neighborhood. The flagship store, spanning two floors and 10,225 square feet, will be located at 578 Broadway by Prince Street.
The opening coincides with the launch of GU's collaboration with Japanese streetwear-meets-high fashion brand UNDERCOVER. The collection features versatile and unisex pieces that can be rearranged to create different looks.
Opening Weekend Festivities
Get ready for an exciting opening weekend, September 19-22! Attendees will be treated to giveaways, including a collaborative tote bag designed by Shantell Martin for the first 300 customers, GU shopping trips worth up to $250, and opportunities to experience Tokyo's vibrant culture right in NYC. Delicious Japanese treats will also be distributed throughout the weekend.

GU will also be launching its e-commerce website and app in the U.S., offering items previously only available in Japan, including the popular barrel leg jeans, mini skort, and super wide cargo pants. New products and colorways exclusive to the U.S. market will also be available.
