
Family Held Hostage in Queens Home Invasion
Seven members of a family were held hostage during a terrifying home invasion in the Douglaston section of Queens, New York, early Saturday morning. The ordeal began around 2 a.m. when three suspects, armed with guns and hammers, forced their way into the family's home.
The suspects terrorized the family, which included a 72-year-old man, 71-year-old woman, 44-year-old woman, 43-year-old man, 13-year-old boy, 10-year-old girl, and 1-year-old girl. The 43-year-old man was struck in the foot with a hammer, and the 71-year-old woman was punched in the face, but both declined medical attention.
One of the family members managed to escape with a baby and alerted police. Responding officers quickly secured the scene and located the suspects after using drones to search the surrounding area.
The suspects were apprehended and are currently facing charges. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the home invasion.
