Ella Emhoff Stuns on the Coach Runway at New York Fashion Week
Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, continued to make waves in the fashion world, walking the runway at Coach's Spring 2025 show during New York Fashion Week.
Emhoff, a multidisciplinary artist known for her knitting, design, social media influence, and modeling, turned heads in a custom "I Heart NY" t-shirt paired with a black blazer, miniskirt, baseball cap, ballet flats, and a chain-link shoulder bag.
Emhoff, signed with IMG Models in 2021, has become a symbol of diversity and inclusivity in the fashion industry. IMG President Ivan Bart explained, "Ella communicates this moment in time. There’s a cheekiness and a joy she exudes." Her confident style and embrace of individuality have resonated with audiences worldwide.
Emhoff has modeled for brands like Balenciaga and Adidas by Stella McCartney, solidifying her position as a rising star in the fashion world.
While she's become a familiar face on the runway, she still finds the experience a bit surreal. "I have body hair, I have tattoos. Like, that’s not crazy in the scheme of things today, but it’s not what you’d consider, like, the most generic-type model." She admits to having low self-esteem in the past, but modeling has helped her reclaim her confidence.
Emhoff's appearance at Coach's show highlights her growing influence and the changing face of fashion, emphasizing the importance of representation and individuality.
