Delta Air Lines Adds Holiday Flights to Popular Destinations
Delta Air Lines is bringing back two seasonal routes just in time for the winter holidays! This means more options for travelers heading to popular destinations from New York and Minneapolis.
New York (JFK) to Sarasota/Bradenton (SRQ)
This route, last served in April 2022, will resume operations daily from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, using regional jets. While JetBlue dominates this route with a 94% market share, Delta's return adds competition and more seats for passengers, especially with strong existing traffic (118 passengers daily each way in 2024).
Minneapolis (MSP) to Eagle County (EGE)
After an 11-year hiatus since March 2014, Delta will once again connect Minneapolis to Eagle County. This route is currently unserved, presenting an opportunity for Delta to capture premium leisure demand, especially for skiers traveling from the Midwest to Colorado. Daily flights will also operate between December 20, 2025, and January 4, 2026.

Delta's decision to reinstate these routes during the peak holiday season is a strategic move to capitalize on high demand and underserved markets. Both routes offer significant potential for revenue generation despite the existing competition.
