Tragedy Strikes Henry Hudson Parkway: Wrong-Way Crash Claims Two Lives
Early Saturday morning, a horrific wrong-way crash on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Upper Manhattan resulted in the deaths of two people. The driver responsible fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a scene of devastation and unanswered questions.
The collision, which occurred just before 2:30 a.m., involved at least three vehicles, leaving them mangled and strewn across the roadway. The northbound side of the parkway was closed for over seven hours as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage, reopening around 10 a.m.
Pickup Truck Driver Hits Challenger Head-On
Investigators determined that a white pickup truck, traveling southbound in the northbound lanes, collided head-on with a Dodge Challenger. The impact claimed the lives of two men in the Challenger, aged 40 and 38.

While the pickup truck driver remains at large, a 22-year-old passenger, who may have also been attempting to flee the scene, was apprehended and hospitalized in stable condition.

Another Wrong-Way Crash Claims a Young Life
This tragedy comes just days after another fatal wrong-way crash on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy. The boy's mother, Kerri Bedrick, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired with drugs, among other charges. Her driver's license has been suspended over 55 times and prosecutors are seeking homicide charges in connection with her son's death.
