Brooklyn Hit-and-Run: Two Dead, Investigation Ongoing

The NYPD reports that the accident occurred around 4:22 a.m. at 52nd Street and 3rd Avenue.
According to police, the victims, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s, were walking eastbound on 52nd Street when they were struck by a southbound black sedan on 3rd Avenue. Sadly, they were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS and the FDNY.
The investigation is currently underway, and no arrests have been made. Authorities are appealing for any witnesses or information that could aid in identifying and apprehending the driver responsible.
This devastating incident underscores the urgent need for increased pedestrian safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic laws in the city.
