Biden's Broadway Night: Former President Attends 'Othello' Amidst Political Backlash
Biden's Broadway Debut Sparks Controversy
Former President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, made a high-profile appearance at the opening night of Othello on Broadway, marking their first major outing since leaving the White House. The event saw the Bidens rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Dr. Biden, elegantly attired in a teal blue dress, accompanied him. She later shared a picture on Instagram, describing the performance as “riveting… brilliant… BRAVO!” and calling it a “date night”.
The couple posed for photos with the cast, including a backstage shot with Washington and Gyllenhaal. However, this public appearance comes against a backdrop of criticism from some Democrats who feel the Bidens are trying to remain too visible in the political spotlight. Reports surfaced of the Bidens' efforts to advise the newly elected DNC chairman, Ken Martin, on campaign strategy, drawing criticism from some former aides.

No voter wants to hear from him." Another added, "The Bidens are still living in an alternative universe that revolves only around them." The Broadway outing thus adds another layer to the ongoing discussion about the Bidens' post-presidency roles and their continued influence on Democratic politics.
