Anthony Davis to the Knicks? Blockbuster 3-Team Trade Sends Shockwaves Through NBA

Could Anthony Davis Be a Knick? A Blockbuster 3-Team Trade Proposal

The New York Knicks are looking to bolster their center position after losing Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency. While Mitchell Robinson is the current starter, concerns about his health after ankle surgeries have the Knicks exploring options. One intriguing possibility involves a three-team trade that would send shockwaves through the NBA.

The Proposed Trade:

• Knicks get: Anthony Davis
• Lakers get: Stephen Curry, Moses Moody
• Warriors get: Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, D’Angelo Russell

This hypothetical trade would see the Knicks acquire one of the league's best centers, while the Lakers would pair LeBron James with the greatest shooter in NBA history.

Anthony Davis' Impact on the Knicks:

Davis, a nine-time All-Star, is still a dominant force in the NBA. Last season, he averaged 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in 76 games. The Knicks would likely move OG Anunoby to power forward and Josh Hart to starting small forward, creating a formidable starting lineup with Jalen Brunson and Davis.

The Price of Success:

The cost to acquire Davis would be steep, likely involving several first-round picks. The Knicks would also lose depth on their bench, as this trade doesn't include a secondary bench piece. Additionally, Davis' injury history and age (31) are concerns, as he has missed significant time due to injuries over the past several seasons.

Is it Realistic?

Currently, there is no indication that the Lakers are willing to trade Davis, and the Knicks have stated they're not looking to move Randle. As the season progresses, however, the trade landscape could change, and this blockbuster deal could become a reality.
